Graduate Traineeship in Game Development (Autumn 2026)
Did you recently finish your studies and want to jump straight into making games?
Not as an observer, but as part of a real game team with real responsibilities, real feedback, and a very serious commitment to the science of being silly?
We’re launching a 6-month graduate traineeship for autumn 2026, aimed at people who graduated within the last two years and want to create moments that are measured on one very important KPI: laughs per minute.
You’ll join one of our game teams, contribute to production-relevant work, and have a mentor by your side to help you find your footing. This is an entry-level role, so we don’t expect you to arrive as a finished professional, but we definitely expect you to take ownership, learn by doing, collaborate creatively, and help make players and teammates laugh.
Because you know… we make comedy games. That means we explore how gameplay can surprise people, break expectations, and turn ordinary interactions into something joyful, weird, or wonderfully stupid. It also means we make games together, because does a joke really exist if there’s no audience to react to it?
Enough with the existentialism. Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day
Join one of our teams and get close to the daily rhythm of an indie studio that takes silliness very seriously.
Take part in team rituals like stand-ups, playtests, reviews, and production conversations.
Work on tasks that align with our production needs, your background, and your interests.
Get a close-up look at how comedy games are made, from ideas and experiments to feedback, iteration, and polish.
Have a dedicated mentor you can go to with questions, big or small.
Build connections with kind, creative people in an international team, while developing both your craft and your professional confidence.
You’re probably a good fit if
You graduated from a relevant education within the past 2 years and are available for 6 months sometime between September 2026 and April 2027.
Your background is in game design, systems programming, computer science, digital arts, production, QA, technical art, or something else that equips you for a career in games.
You’re pragmatic and realistic about what you can already do, what you still need to learn, and where you might want to specialize.
You’re curious, proactive, and comfortable asking questions when something is unclear.
Requirements for any job at Triband
You thrive in taking ownership of your area: you spot problems, seek advice when needed, and implement creative solutions that push projects forward.
You’re motivated by collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity, and you actively contribute to sustaining that culture.
You value a positive work environment and help make the studio a fun and supportive place.
Practicalities
No crunch. People over deadlines.
You need to have graduated from a relevant education within the past 2 years.
We prioritize people who have less than 1 year of experience in the games industry.
The traineeship is paid, full-time, and runs for 6 months (sometime between September 2026 and April 2027).
There’s sadly no job-guarantee at Triband after the traineeship.
You need to be able to work from our Copenhagen office.
We don’t offer relocation, visa, or housing search assistance for traineeships. In formal terms: employment as a temporary trainee cannot form the basis for a Danish work visa permit.
We offer
Silly but ambitious projects, and the chance to work on and impact great games that reach millions of players.
A playful and ambitious work environment where experimentation is encouraged.
Friendly and kind colleagues who love making each other laugh as much as making games.
Social activities like Friday bars, hobby nights, board game nights, team events, you name it.
Daily lunch at a local restaurant just a walk across the lakes away, with plant-based options (and soft ice on Thursdays).
Private health insurance paid by us.
Child's first sick day on us, no questions asked.
Endless amounts of coffee.
