Capture Artist
Do you see a ragdoll tumble and think: that’s a trailer shot!
Do you get a kick out of staging a scene, tweaking a camera angle, or replaying a moment until it lands just right? Can you spot the exact second where a game becomes funny, beautiful, chaotic, or all three at once?
Triband’s marketing team is looking for a Capture Artist who can play our games well, understand what makes them funny, and capture those moments in a way that feels clean, clear, and full of personality.
Because, you know… we make comedy games.
That means a lot of our work lives in the unexpected: the moment someone solves a racing level like they’ve never heard of roads, the “wait, did that bear just…?” moment, and the aesthetic but funny shot because something’s slightly off in the best possible way.
Your job is to find those moments, stage and capture them, and help us show our games at their best, weirdest, and most wonderfully silly.
Here’s what you’ll do day to day
Spot funny, beautiful, surprising, or very cursed moments in our games and help turn them into shareable footage.
Stage and capture gameplay moments inside Unity, setting up cameras, props, scenes, and debug tools to show our games at their best.
Record gameplay footage on different devices, including phone and Mac, from polished trailer-worthy sequences to quick, silly clips for socials.
Work closely with our Creative Lead, Creative Producer, and the rest of the marketing team to capture the right shots for trailers, store pages, social posts, and other marketing materials.
Replay, tweak, and refine moments until the timing, framing, and comedy land.
Organize, label, and manage captured footage so the team can easily find and use it.
You’re probably a good match if
You love games, especially the weird, funny, unexpected moments that games can create.
You’re comfortable working in Unity, including setting up cameras, tweaking scenes, and using debug tools. (Yes, private or student projects also count.)
You have a good eye for composition, timing, framing, and what makes a shot pop.
You’ve worked with capture tools and workflows before (OBS, Elgato, ReplayKit, or similar).
You can play games skillfully enough to recreate specific moments, sequences, or very important nonsense.
You enjoy working with creative direction and can translate feedback into better shots.
You’re organized and methodical about takes, versions, naming, exports, and file management.
You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating across teams.
Nice to haves
Familiarity with cinematic techniques like camera language, lighting, movement, and staging.
Basic video editing skills like cutting clips, trimming, and simple adjustments.
Experience streaming or creating content for social platforms like Twitch, TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
Knowledge of compression, export settings, and platform-specific formats.
Prior experience within capture art, video editing, QA, machinima, or similar.
Requirements for any job at Triband
You thrive in taking ownership of your area: you spot problems, seek advice when needed, and implement creative solutions that push projects forward.
You're motivated by collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity, and you actively contribute to sustaining that culture.
You value a positive work environment and contribute to making the studio a fun and supportive place.
You have team production experience, such as using version control software (we use git), branching, stand-ups, sprints, and reviews.
Practicalities
This is a temporary 6-month full-time position.
